Street Group co-founders and co-chief executive officers Tom Staff and Heather Staff have been named among Britain’s most influential entrepreneurs in BusinessCloud’s inaugural Founder 250.
The list recognises founders leading innovative and high-growth UK businesses across technology, finance, healthcare, retail and manufacturing.
The siblings’ inclusion also highlights the increasing prominence of proptech within the wider technology sector as estate and letting agencies accelerate their adoption of digital systems and artificial intelligence.
Street Group now serves thousands of agency branches nationwide through technology covering sales, lettings, property management and client accounting.
AI INVESTMENT DRIVES EXPANSION
The Manchester-based business recently launched Street Cortex, an agentic AI platform designed to allow estate and letting agents to create and deploy their own AI workforce.
It has also secured strategic growth investment from software investor Hg at a valuation exceeding £200 million, providing additional backing for its AI-focused product roadmap and expansion plans.
Tom Staff (main picture left) says: “We’ve always believed that estate agency deserves technology that’s every bit as innovative as any other sector, and we’ve spent the last decade focused on building products that genuinely change how agencies operate.
“Proptech is evolving incredibly quickly and we’re excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, ensuring that our agent base remains the choice of vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants across the UK market.”
ADOPTION ACCELERATING
The Founder 250 recognition follows a period of rapid growth for Street Group and continued investment across its broader technology ecosystem.
Heather Staff (main picture, right) says the property industry’s reputation for adopting new technology more slowly than other sectors was beginning to change.
“We’re proud that Street Group has been recognised as part of that wider innovation story, and we’ll continue investing in products that help agents operate more efficiently, deliver better client experiences and embrace the opportunities that new technologies create,” she adds.
BusinessCloud’s Founder 250 was created to showcase the entrepreneurs behind some of Britain’s most prominent founder-led companies and the contribution they make to innovation and economic growth.
