The Manchester Home Show will return to the city next month following an event last year that attracted more than 750 prospective homebuyers.
The free exhibition, hosted by Share to Buy Live, will take place at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on Saturday 19 September from 10.30am to 4pm.
It will bring together housing providers, mortgage brokers and conveyancers to help prospective buyers understand their options for getting onto the property ladder, with a particular focus on affordable homeownership and Shared Ownership.
The Manchester event follows Share to Buy’s long-running London Home Show, which has attracted more than 87,000 prospective buyers since launching in 2013.
BUYERS GET FACE-TO-FACE ADVICE
Housing associations and providers exhibiting include L&Q, Plumlife Homes, Gecko Homes, Latimer by Clarion Housing Group, Snugg Homes, Your Housing Group, Together Homes and Onward Living.
Visitors will also be able to speak to mortgage brokers from Metro Finance and conveyancers about the financial and legal aspects of purchasing a home.
A programme of talks will cover subjects including saving for a deposit and common homebuying myths, alongside experiences from people who have already bought their homes.
Several exhibitors will also showcase Shared Ownership properties currently available across Manchester and the wider North West.
These include homes at Victoria Riverside in Manchester city centre, where a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment starts at £61,875 against a full market value of £247,500.
At Worrall Street in Salford, prices start at £48,750 for a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment valued at £195,000.
