HomeOwners Alliance appoints Sarah Tucker as mortgage spokesperson

HomeOwners Alliance has partnered with mortgage and property expert Sarah Tucker (main picture, right) who will become the organisation’s principal voice on mortgage commentary, analysis and consumer advice.

The move brings together one of the UK’s best-known mortgage commentators with the consumer campaign group, as it looks to strengthen its support for homeowners and first-time buyers navigating an increasingly complex housing market.
Tucker has built a strong profile across television, radio and social media, becoming a recognised voice on mortgage rates, affordability, first-time buyer challenges and wider housing market trends.

Under the new partnership, she will lead HomeOwners Alliance’s mortgage-related media commentary while also contributing consumer-focused content, including webinars, videos and market updates.

CAMPAIGNING ALLIANCE

The organisation says the appointment complements the work of Chief Executive Paula Higgins (main picture, left), who will continue to lead its policy, campaigning and government engagement activities.

Tucker says: “I’m passionate about helping people feel confident and informed when it comes to mortgages and the wider property journey. HomeOwners Alliance has an incredible track record of campaigning on the issues that really matter to homeowners, and I’m really excited to be working together.

“By combining our expertise, we can support even more people with clear, practical advice and help them make better decisions at every stage.”

STRONGER SUPPORT

Higgins adds: “Sarah is one of the most dynamic and engaging voices in the property and mortgage market today. Her ability to explain what’s happening and what it means for people is exactly what homeowners and aspiring homeowners need.

“Bringing her expertise together with our advice, campaigning and policy work means we can offer even stronger support and advice to homeowners and buyers, and continue to push for improvements across the housing market.”

The partnership comes at a time when affordability pressures, mortgage market reform and housing supply remain key issues for prospective buyers and existing homeowners.

HomeOwners Alliance says Tucker will provide regular insight across its website and media channels, covering topics including mortgage rates, first-time buyers, shared ownership, leasehold reform, consumer protection and wider housing policy.
