Conveyancing Association launches summer webinar programme

The Conveyancing Association (CA) has launched a Summer Webinar Series aimed at helping conveyancing firms navigate the operational, regulatory and commercial challenges facing the sector.

Running throughout June, July and August, the programme will be delivered in partnership with a number of the CA’s Affiliate Members and will provide practical guidance on topics ranging from technology and automation to stamp duty and tax adviser responsibilities.
The initiative forms part of the CA’s ongoing efforts to support member firms through education, collaboration and the sharing of industry best practice.

The first webinar, taking place on 24 June in partnership with Post Partner, is titled From Post Room to CMS: Automating Post Allocation Without the Pain. The session will focus on reducing manual administration and improving efficiency through document automation.

STAMP DUTY

A second webinar, hosted with Move Reports on 7 July, will examine the growing complexity of stamp duty and the implications of law firms being asked to register as Tax Advisers. The session, Tax Adviser Status: Should Your Firm Take It On or Pass It On?, will explore the processes, responsibilities and options available to conveyancing practices.

Further sessions, led by Affiliate Members from across the legal, technology and professional services sectors, will be announced over the coming weeks.

Nicky Heathcote, Non-Executive Chair of the Conveyancing Association, says: “One of the greatest strengths of the CA is the depth of expertise available through our Affiliate Member community.

“This Summer Webinar Series gives us an excellent opportunity to bring that expertise together and share practical knowledge that conveyancing firms can use immediately within their businesses.

“The pace of change within conveyancing continues to accelerate, whether through regulation, technology, consumer expectations or wider market developments.

“These webinars are designed to help firms stay informed, understand the issues that matter most and learn from those working at the forefront of the sector.

“We are grateful to our Affiliate Members for supporting this initiative and look forward to announcing further sessions throughout the summer.”

The webinar series comes at a time of significant change for conveyancing firms, with increasing focus on technology adoption, regulatory compliance and improving transaction efficiency across the home-moving process.
