Countrywide Surveying maintains 100% trainee pass record

Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS) has achieved a 100% pass rate in the latest AssocRICS assessment window with all 13 candidates in its most recent trainee surveyor cohort successfully qualifying.

The results extend the company’s strong track record of developing new talent and come as the residential surveying sector continues to grapple with skills shortages and an ageing workforce.
CSS said its structured training programme combines technical learning, practical surveying experience and one-to-one mentoring, helping trainees progress towards professional qualification while gaining hands-on industry experience.

The latest success means another group of surveyors will enter the profession at a time when demand for valuation and surveying expertise remains high across the housing market.

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The company is now preparing a further six trainee surveyors for the next AssocRICS submission window in July, while another six recruits who joined the business in May are working towards qualification later this year.

CSS is also continuing to recruit new trainees as it expands its development programme and invests in the next generation of surveyors.

Sarah Chalmers-Stevens (main picture, inset), Associate Director of Learning & Development at Countrywide Surveying Services, says: “Achieving AssocRICS standard requires a significant amount of commitment, resilience and professionalism.

“Every candidate in this cohort has worked hard to reach this point and should be proud of what they have accomplished. Their success reflects the effort they have invested throughout the qualification process and provides a strong platform for their future careers.”

EXPERIENCE TO SUCCEED

She adds: “Surveying today is very different from even a decade ago. Alongside traditional valuation and inspection skills, surveyors are expected to understand a growing range of factors, from environmental considerations and building performance through to technology and data-led decision-making.

“Training programmes need to evolve alongside those demands, ensuring individuals are equipped with both the technical knowledge and practical experience required to succeed in a modern surveying environment.”

The latest results reinforce CSS’s focus on growing talent internally as the profession adapts to changing technology, sustainability requirements and increasing complexity within the housing market.
