Event brings global agents together to tackle transaction delays and AI

Estate agency leaders from six international markets will examine AI, transaction delays and pressures facing the lettings sector at this year’s EA Masters.

The conference, taking place on 3 November, will bring together property professionals from the UK, Ireland, UAE, New Zealand, Australia and the US.
More than 60 exhibitors and participants are expected at the event, which is sponsored by OnTheMarket and will this year operate under the theme of ‘World Class’.

Speakers include senior figures from Connells Group, Foxtons, OnTheMarket, Betterhomes in the UAE and Ireland’s Sherry FitzGerald Group.

GLOBAL LINE-UP

Chris Rosindale, Chief Operating Officer at Connells Group, and Guy Gittins, Chief Executive Officer at Foxtons, are among the UK agency speakers.

They will be joined by Jason Tebb, President of OnTheMarket, Richard Waind of UAE estate agency Betterhomes and Marian Finnegan, Chief Executive Officer of Sherry FitzGerald Group in Ireland.

Broadcaster Lucia Fox will host the conference.

Peter Knight (main picture, inset), Founder of EA Masters, says: “This year’s EA Masters conference will involve more than 60 industry exhibitors and participants from across the globe as we examine the hottest issues in the industry right now, from landlord retention and margin pressure in lettings, to the positives and negatives of AI and the issue of ever lengthening transactions.”

AI AND TRANSACTION TIMES

One session will examine where AI and automation are already saving agents time, including lead qualification, valuations and administration, as well as areas where the technology may be over-hyped.

Transaction times will also come under scrutiny, with a conveyancing-focused panel examining potential practical and structural improvements.

Landmark will discuss data from Project 28 and the Local Land Charges programme, while LMS will examine lender-side friction in the transaction process.

Knight adds: “This will be a genuinely stimulating learning opportunity as participants will leave with a practical playbook of world class tips to take back to their office to improve and grow their business.”

The event will also include the Best Estate Agent and Best Conveyancer Guide awards, with the Guide due to be published on 4 November.
