A young Doncaster couple have used part exchange to move from their first home into a larger property after buying from the same housebuilder for the second time.
Natalie and Nathan Brady (main picture) bought their first property at Harron Homes’ Wyndthorpe Chase development in September 2023.
Three years later, the couple have traded their three-bedroom home for a four-bedroom property at Harron’s De Maulay Manor development in New Rossington.
The move follows a wider trend among housebuilders offering part exchange and assisted-move schemes to give existing homeowners greater certainty when purchasing a new-build property.
MOVING UP THE LADDER
The couple originally chose Harron following a recommendation from friends living at its The Grange development in Shireoaks.
After looking at developments from several housebuilders across South Yorkshire when they decided to upsize, they opted to remain with Harron.
Natalie says: “The Brackley was our first home together and exactly what we needed at that stage of our lives. It helped us get onto the property ladder, but when we started thinking further ahead, we knew our next move needed to give us more space for the long term.”
The couple used Harron’s part exchange scheme, removing the need to sell their existing property through the conventional market and reducing the risk of becoming caught in a property chain.
Natalie adds: “Part Exchange made the move so easy and took away so much of the stress. It gave us a clear route from one home into the other and meant we could focus on the excitement of moving into our forever home instead of worrying about a chain.”
FAMILY FOLLOWS
The couple have subsequently recommended Harron to Natalie’s parents, who have also moved to De Maulay Manor.
