Castleforge has promoted Head of Investments Mike Adcock and Chief Financial Officer Neil Smith to Partner as the real estate investment firm continues to expand its property portfolio.
The London-based business has grown its Central London office portfolio to more than one million sq ft of prime space in recent years, while expanding its development, financing and leasing operations.
It has also moved into additional property sectors including hotels and data centres.
Adcock (main picture, inset left) and Smith (main picture, inset right) take up their new positions with immediate effect and will retain their existing responsibilities alongside broader leadership roles.
INVESTMENT GROWTH
Adcock joined Castleforge in 2018 and leads the sourcing, underwriting and execution of investments across the firm’s strategies.
He has also led Castleforge’s expansion into new asset classes, including its investment in the Redhill Data Centre in London.
Before joining the business, Adcock worked in Blackstone’s UK real estate operation and previously held roles at Savills and Lambert Smith Hampton.
Mike Adcock, Head of Investments and Partner at Castleforge, says: “It has been a phenomenal experience to grow alongside Castleforge as we have capitalised on opportunities in an evolving market.
“I am excited to keep working with the wider partnership to deliver on our existing strategies and to build on the themes we have the strongest conviction in.”
WIDER LEADERSHIP
Smith has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2023 and oversees Castleforge’s finance and accounting operations.
His work has included the 2025 recapitalisation of Castleforge’s Clockwise portfolio and its partnership with Foster Capital to establish Catenary Capital, which targets private real estate investment in Malaysia.
Smith previously held senior positions at Bridgepoint and Carlyle.
Neil Smith, Chief Financial Officer and Partner at Castleforge, says: “Castleforge has built a unique platform focused on creating value through vertically integrated operational real estate investment and flexible financing solutions.
“I am pleased to help lead the next phase of its growth alongside our colleagues and investors.”
Michael Kovacs, Founding Partner at Castleforge, adds: “Neil and Mike have played a crucial role in building Castleforge into the business it is today.
“Our investors, team and partners understand the contribution the two have made in their time here, and we are all excited to see them step into new roles as we continue to grow.”
