Boost for iad UK as Scottish agents switch from Keller Williams

Self-employed network iad UK has strengthened its presence in Scotland after welcoming a growing group of around 40 self-employed estate agents.

The move marks iad UK’s first major expansion north of the border and follows its acquisition of Avocado Property earlier this year.
Led by estate agent Stephen Pye, the agents have chosen to join iad UK from Keller Williams Scotland, creating a significant Scottish presence within the wider iad network, with coverage across Glasgow, Edinburgh and a number of regional markets.

The move has been made with respect for the previous brokerage model, which has played an important role in the development of self-employed estate agency in the UK and supported many talented agents across Scotland.

GEOGRAPHIC BOOST

The expansion significantly strengthens iad UK’s geographic coverage while creating further opportunities for business sharing, referrals and collaboration across its growing national network of property entrepreneurs.

By joining iad, the Scottish agents gain access to the brokerage’s national and international platform, allowing them to continue building independent property businesses with the support of the company’s training, technology, marketing infrastructure, mentorship model and agent-first approach.

Pye says: “This is a positive and considered move for the agents involved. The focus has always been on what gives the team the best platform for the future, both operationally and commercially.

“iad UK offers a model that supports agent independence while providing the structure, tools, technology and network needed to help property businesses grow. That combination of entrepreneurship and infrastructure is a strong fit for the agents making this move.

“Our priority now is to support a smooth transition, provide operational continuity and help agents move forward with clarity, confidence and momentum as part of the iad UK network.”

PEOPLE BUSINESS

Senior agent Ev Foster adds: “Our ethos has always been built around people, ambition and helping agents create businesses they are proud of. Keller Williams has played an important role in that journey and I have the greatest respect for the model, the people within it and the brilliant agent communities being built elsewhere across the UK.

“For me personally, this is also an opportunity to focus more fully on my coaching career and to help agents across Scotland and the rest of the UK to thrive. I care deeply about seeing estate agents build stronger businesses, grow in confidence and create careers they are proud of.

Lee O’Brien,  managing director of iad UK, says he was delighted to welcome the group.

He adds: “The team has helped build a strong, ambitious and highly respected community of property professionals in Scotland, and we are proud they have chosen iad for the next stage of their journey,” he said.

“The iad model gives estate agents the ability to build independent businesses with the backing of a proven network, powerful infrastructure and a collaborative community.

“This expansion is an important milestone in our UK growth strategy. Following the acquisition of Avocado earlier this year, establishing a significant presence in Scotland is another step in building a truly national network of entrepreneurial estate agents.

“As we continue to grow, our focus remains on giving agents the freedom to run their own businesses while benefiting from shared knowledge, technology, mentoring and the strength of an international network.”

Further details, including the final number of affiliated agents and the name of the new Scottish group, will be announced by iad UK in due course.
