Yorkshire Water’s SafeMove has joined the National Land Information Service Hub as a licensed channel ahead of the launch of the next generation of the conveyancing search platform next year.
SafeMove, a trading arm of Yorkshire Water, provides residential and commercial property searches to conveyancers and property lawyers and is the official provider of the Law Society’s CON29DW Drainage and Water Enquiry for Yorkshire.
Joining the NLIS Hub will give SafeMove customers direct access to official conveyancing search data from local authorities across England and Wales, alongside information from the Mining Remediation Authority and HM Land Registry.
The move also means SafeMove will transition directly onto Next Gen NLIS when the new platform launches in March 2027.
DIGITAL CONVEYANCING
Land Data, which regulates NLIS, says the next-generation service is designed to improve the way authoritative property information is shared between organisations involved in conveyancing.
It will introduce user certification through the Land Data Trust Framework, alongside new data products and services and more streamlined search processes.
The existing NLIS Hub provides electronic access to official property search information and connects conveyancers and other property professionals with data providers including local authorities.

SEARCH DATA INTEGRATION
The next-generation platform forms part of wider efforts to improve the interoperability and provenance of property data and reduce duplication during the homebuying process.
