REACH UK opens search for next agent generation

REACH UK has opened applications for its 2027 programme as it searches for technology businesses capable of solving practical problems facing estate and letting agents and the wider property sector.

The programme is looking for businesses working across artificial intelligence, automation, compliance, property management, energy efficiency, digital transactions and other areas of property technology.
But organisers are also targeting companies outside traditional proptech whose technology could be adapted to tackle problems within the property industry.

Successful applicants will gain access to property professionals, industry leaders, investors and potential customers through REACH UK’s domestic and international network.

PRACTICAL TECHNOLOGY

Propertymark is supporting the search and encouraging its members and the wider industry to identify technology capable of addressing challenges experienced by agents, landlords, tenants and consumers.

REACH UK is particularly interested in solutions that could reduce administration, improve compliance and property management, make better use of data or improve customer and tenant experiences.

Other areas include property finance, risk, building and asset management, construction and sustainability.

Jason Lee, Head of Commercial at Propertymark, says: “The people working in property every day understand the challenges and opportunities facing the sector, which is why it is important that innovative technology is developed with those real-world needs in mind.

“REACH UK provides an important link between the property industry and businesses developing new technology.”

BEYOND PROPTECH

REACH UK forms part of the international REACH technology ecosystem operated by Second Century Ventures, the strategic investment arm of the US National Association of REALTORS.

Previous businesses supported by the programme have developed technology covering areas including energy efficiency, property data, digital transactions, property management, repairs and maintenance, compliance and customer experience.

Michael Hill, Program Director at REACH UK, says: “For 2027, we’re looking for ambitious companies solving meaningful challenges across real estate and adjacent industries.

“That doesn’t necessarily mean traditional PropTech. Some of the most exciting opportunities come from technologies developed for other sectors that can be applied to real estate to solve real problems, improve how businesses operate and create new value.”

He adds: “If you’re building something with real potential, have an ambitious team and are ready to scale, we want to hear from you.”

Applications for the 2027 programme are now open through REACH UK.
