Paul Geddes starts as Lomond chief executive

Paul Geddes has officially taken over as Group Chief Executive Officer of Lomond as the estate and lettings agency group prepares for its next phase of expansion.

Geddes joins following a career spanning financial services, insurance and wealth management, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Evelyn Partners, where he led the business through its £2.7bn sale to NatWest Group.
He has also previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Direct Line Insurance Group and Chief Executive Officer of RBS’s UK Retail Banking division.

Geddes takes charge of Lomond following a period of rapid acquisition-led growth which has seen its managed property portfolio more than double since 2022.

NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH

Lomond has grown from around 34,000 to more than 70,000 properties under management and completed approximately 70 acquisitions.

Its expansion this year has included moves into Liverpool through the acquisition of Homesure and the Thames Valley following its acquisition of Prospect.

Geddes will initially spend time with Lomond’s regional businesses and teams before helping shape its longer-term strategy, including further organic growth and investment in technology and AI.

He says: “Lomond has built something distinctive within the UK property sector: strong local brands with the scale of a national group behind them.

“We operate in a market that continues to evolve, with customers expecting higher levels of service, greater convenience and more innovative solutions. Our ambition is to be the most recommended property group in the UK, raising standards across the industry while helping our regional businesses grow and thrive.”
