Estate and letting agency Jones Robinson has cut its carbon emissions per employee by 15.4%, despite expanding the scope of its environmental assessment.
The independent agency, which operates six branches across Berkshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, says the latest figure is its lowest since it began measuring its carbon footprint in 2021.
Independent assessments covering 2023 and 2024 were carried out by Carbon Footprint Ltd as part of the agency’s ongoing programme to measure and reduce emissions across its branch network.
The reduction comes despite more of the business’s activities being included in the calculations, with areas including water and wastewater, waste, hotel stays and additional site electricity added to the assessment from 2023.
CARBON REDUCTION
Jones Robinson has also funded projects designed to mitigate 346 tonnes of carbon dioxide from emissions it has not yet been able to eliminate.
The projects include forest conservation in Indonesia and Brazil, afforestation in Uruguay, solar power generation in India and clean drinking water projects in Ethiopia.

NET ZERO TARGETS
The agency is now working with Carbon Footprint Ltd to establish formal net zero targets.
Future assessments are also expected to extend into Jones Robinson’s supply chain as the business looks to broaden the emissions covered by its environmental reporting.
