New shared ownership homes launch at Cambridge development

L&Q is launching a new collection of shared ownership homes at its Darwin Green development in Cambridge, with prices starting from £123,000 for a 25% share.

The latest release includes two-bedroom apartments over garages and four three-bedroom houses, with prospective buyers being invited to an open day at the development on Saturday 12 September.
Two-bedroom apartments are available from £123,000 for a 25% share of a property with a full market value of £410,000.

Three-bedroom houses start at £156,000 for a 25% share, based on a full market value of £520,000.

AFFORDABLE OWNERSHIP

The open day will run from 10am to 5pm and give prospective purchasers the opportunity to view the latest homes, including a fully dressed three-bedroom show home, and discuss shared ownership and the buying process with L&Q’s sales team.

Selected properties are ready to move into, while L&Q says exclusive offers will be available on some plots during the event, subject to terms and availability.

Claire Brenlund, Sales and Marketing Director at L&Q, says: “L&Q at Darwin Green offers a fantastic combination of high-quality homes, excellent connections into Cambridge and a growing range of amenities on the doorstep.

“We’ve seen a great level of interest in our previous launches here, which reflects the continued demand from buyers looking for an affordable route into home ownership in the city.

“This latest release brings another opportunity to join the growing community, with a selection of two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses available through Shared Ownership. Our Open Day is a great chance to explore the show home in person, experience the development and speak to our team about making a move to Darwin Green.”

1,500-HOME COMMUNITY

Darwin Green is a major new development outside Cambridge city centre that will ultimately provide more than 1,500 homes.

Plans for the wider community include a 15-acre park, sports pitches, pedestrian and cycle routes, schools, shops and a health centre, while its community centre and sports pavilion are already open.

Homes at L&Q’s development include private outdoor space and allocated parking, with selected properties also featuring solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.

The development is around a 10-minute cycle from Cambridge city centre, with road connections to the A14 and M11.
