Property industry guru and trainer Michael Day is taking on another London Bridges Wellness Walk as he continues his fundraising campaign for Diabetes UK.
The Managing Director of Integra Property Services has lived with Type 1 diabetes for more than 35 years and underwent a triple heart bypass in 2021 after the condition contributed to serious health complications.
Day (main picture, inset) has since used his experience to raise awareness of diabetes and generate funding for research and patient support.
Supported by donations from across the property industry, he has raised more than £8,000 during the past three years through bridge walks and other challenges.
CROSSING THE CAPITAL
The London Bridges Wellness Walk is a 10-mile event beginning in Battersea Park and finishing near Tower Bridge.
Its route crosses several of the capital’s best-known bridges and is designed to be accessible to participants with varying levels of fitness.
Day has completed several previous London Bridges walks, frequently accompanied by his daughter Carrie, as well as two of Diabetes UK’s One Million Step Challenges.
His latest participation will raise further funds for Diabetes UK, which supports research and campaigns to improve the lives of people affected by the condition.
An estimated 5.8 million people are living with diabetes in the UK.
CHRISTMAS SINGLE RETURNS
Day also used music to support charitable causes in 2025, writing and recording a Christmas single that raised money for Diabetes UK and the Propertymark Trust.
He has already completed a follow-up track for 2026 entitled It’s Not the Same for Everyone on Christmas Day, which is scheduled for release on 14 November.
Property professionals and other supporters can donate through Michael Day’s Diabetes UK fundraising page, with eligible contributors able to add Gift Aid to increase the value of their donation.
