Lendlord has launched a new tool to help landlords prepare for England’s forthcoming rental property database and manage their ongoing registration requirements.
The Property Register tool sits within the property management and finance platform’s Compliance Hub and uses information landlords already hold within their portfolios to prepare a registration pack.
It identifies missing information and relevant registration deadlines, while landlords will continue to complete the registration itself through the government’s service.
The launch comes as the private rented sector prepares for the new database being introduced as part of the Renters’ Rights Act reforms.
ONGOING COMPLIANCE
Lendlord’s tool is designed to go beyond preparing landlords for their initial registration.
It will manage registration notifications, due dates and renewal reminders across a portfolio and alert landlords when changes to property or tenancy information mean their details on the government register need updating.
The platform says this is intended to make the new requirements easier to manage, particularly for landlords operating multiple properties.
Aviram Shahar (main picture, inset), Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lendlord, says: “Preparing for the new database should not mean starting from scratch. Landlords already hold much of the information they need, and our Property Register tool brings it together to make preparation simpler.
“Registration is only the first step. Landlords also need to keep their records up to date as circumstances change.”
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
Shahar adds: “The tool manages deadlines, notifications and renewal reminders, and alerts landlords when changes mean they need to update the register.
“It makes these ongoing responsibilities a manageable part of running a property portfolio.”
The Property Register tool is the latest addition to Lendlord’s Compliance Hub as landlords and letting agents prepare for further regulatory changes across England’s private rented sector.
