Keyzy adds 22 rent-to-buy homes in Wandsworth

Rent-to-buy provider Keyzy has added an entire 22-home block at Springfield Village in Wandsworth to its London portfolio.

Beech House comprises 18 two-bedroom and four one-bedroom apartments totalling approximately 17,000 sq ft.
Monthly rents start at £2,200 for a one-bedroom home and £2,500 for a two-bedroom property, with rents and future purchase prices fixed at the beginning of a two-year term.

The expansion gives Keyzy its fourth London development as it deploys a £130m asset-backed funding programme intended to grow its portfolio to more than 250 homes by 2027.

RENT CREDIT

Under Keyzy’s model, customers rent their selected home before receiving the option to purchase it at the end of the agreement.

If they complete the purchase, up to 100% of the rent paid is credited against the pre-agreed price and can effectively provide their mortgage deposit.

For example, a one-bedroom apartment priced at £625,000 carries rent of £2,200 a month. After £52,800 has been paid over two years, its stated purchase price reduces to £572,200.

Residents are not obliged to buy, but those who walk away do not ordinarily receive their rent back and are treated in the same way as conventional tenants.

Keyzy states that its rent-to-own offering is not regulated as a financial service by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Jeremy Matallah (main picture, inset), Co-founder of Keyzy, says: “Springfield Village is exactly the kind of neighbourhood we want to showcase.

“It’s a fantastic development in an area where many people can comfortably afford market rents but struggle to save the deposit needed to buy.

“Our model bridges that gap. By allowing customers to put two years’ rent towards a deposit, we’re giving more Londoners a realistic pathway into homeownership while creating long-term value for our investment partners.”

INSTITUTIONAL GROWTH

The apartments were built by London Square as part of Springfield Village, a mixed-use development planned to provide more than 1,200 homes.

The wider scheme includes 32 acres of parkland alongside community facilities and commercial space, with access to Tooting Bec and Earlsfield stations.

Keyzy secured its £130m funding programme from Crayon Partners in 2025 through an operating company and property company structure designed to support large-scale acquisitions.

Matallah adds: “This is our fourth London development and demonstrates the momentum we’ve built in just three years as we continue to grow our portfolio.”
