Hunters staff, suppliers and supporters have raised more than £21,500 for The Nikki Waterhouse Trust through a series of fundraising events across Yorkshire.
The estate agency’s summer fundraising campaign included the York Rotary Dragonboat Challenge, a sponsored run and its annual Nikki Waterhouse Trust Golf Day.
Hunters raised £4,240.21 at the Dragonboat Challenge in July, having been the event’s largest fundraiser for the previous two years.
Former Hunters employee Katy Huscroft, who now works for Goodmove, subsequently raised a further £1,500 through a sponsored run in August.
GOLF DAY
The biggest contribution came from the annual Hunters Nikki Waterhouse Trust Golf Day at Easingwold Golf Club, which raised £15,762.54.
A total of 24 teams made up of Hunters employees, suppliers and members of the local community took part.
Hunters Wetherby was named the day’s top-performing team, while Hunters Ilkley received the Best Turned Out Team award.
The latter was introduced in memory of former Hunters employee Michael Naughton, who had devoted significant time to supporting The Nikki Waterhouse Trust.
Ian Dunlop of Hunters Easingwold says: “Martin Robinson’s organisation of the annual event is always first class. The atmosphere is always great fun, and everyone comes together for a great cause.”
The money raised from the three events will go towards supporting children and families through the work of The Nikki Waterhouse Trust.
