Zoopla targets self-managing landlords with new content hub

Zoopla has launched a new landlord content hub aimed at helping agents win instructions from self-managing landlords ahead of major rental reforms.

The initiative includes a new renting guide and a series of landlord-focused articles designed to explain the impact of the Renters’ Rights Act 2025.
The content will be promoted across Zoopla’s platform, which reaches a large proportion of UK landlords and renters, as regulatory changes reshape the private rented sector.

Research from the government’s Private Landlord Survey shows around 80% of landlords currently self-manage their properties, highlighting a significant opportunity for agents to expand management services.

PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

The new content aims to simplify complex legislation, covering areas such as rent increase rules, compliance requirements and common mistakes under the new regime.

More than half of private landlords self manage

Agents will also be able to use the materials within their own marketing, helping to position professional management as a solution to rising regulatory demands.

The launch comes as landlords face increased compliance obligations, tighter rules and greater financial risk under the new framework, prompting many to reconsider how they manage their portfolios.

Zoopla says the hub is designed to support both education and lead generation, enabling agents to engage landlords at a time of significant change.

BIG OPPORTUNITY

Rich Hayes (main picture, inset), Chief Operating Officer at Zoopla, says: “The Renters’ Rights Act is the biggest shift in rental legislation in a generation and it creates a genuine opportunity for agents who offer management services to grow their business.

“With the majority of private landlords still self-managing, the new regulations present a great opportunity to make the case for using an agent for professional property management.”
