Rightmove and Propertymark have partnered to introduce new qualification training aimed at raising standards across the property sector.
The initiative gives agents access to the Propertymark Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Property Agency (CiPA), with tailored pathways for sales and lettings professionals.
The training is available to Rightmove members as part of their existing subscription, reflecting growing demand for formal qualifications as regulation and consumer expectations evolve.
The move comes as agents face increasing pressure to demonstrate professionalism and compliance, particularly ahead of potential regulatory changes in the home-moving sector.
KEY DIFFERENTIATOR
The programme builds on the success of earlier qualifications launched via the platform, with more than 10,500 agents already enrolled in the Level 3 Certificate for Estate and Letting Agents since 2022.
Consumer research cited by Rightmove suggests qualifications are becoming a key differentiator, with around half of home-movers willing to pay more for qualified agents.
More than 70% of renters and homeowners also believe agents should hold formal qualifications, highlighting rising expectations around professional standards.
The training is designed to help agents evidence expertise in conversations with clients, while also supporting firms in differentiating their service offering in competitive markets.
EVIDENCE OF EXPERTISE
Jason Charles (main picture), Head of Education at Rightmove, says: “Agents are operating in a market where professional standards, regulation and consumer expectations are all moving quickly.
“Qualifications give teams a practical way to evidence their expertise, build trust with home-movers and stand out in conversations with vendors and landlords.”

Nathan Emerson, Chief Executive Officer at Propertymark, adds: “Ensuring property professionals have access to tailored educational opportunities is fundamental as the sector prepares for further transformation.
“Qualification and professional representation are increasingly valued by consumers, and this partnership will help drive higher standards across the industry.”
