Winkworth has appointed Emmanuel Sarpong as franchisee of its Bow office following a six-year rise through the agency’s ranks.
Sarpong, who grew up on a council estate five minutes from the branch, joined Winkworth as a negotiator after previously working as a surveyor.
He subsequently became lettings manager and then lettings and sales manager before taking control of the office from the previous franchisee following a phased handover.
The appointment sees Sarpong become a business owner within Winkworth’s franchise network, which comprises more than 100 offices nationally, including over 60 across London.
LOCAL ROOTS
Sarpong says: “I grew up on a Bow council estate just five minutes from the Winkworth office and my family home is still nearby. I’ve experienced the local area, from being a child playing in Victoria Park to a working professional, giving me great insights to share with those renting and buying homes in the locality.
“We meet a lot of the people needing our services on a regular basis, and take pride in the outstanding service we provide. Our aim is to build connections that go far beyond individual transactions.”
Sarpong attended school in Bow before studying at the University of Greenwich and later returning to the area.
