Fine & Country has opened its first base in Palma as the agency expands its presence in Mallorca’s luxury residential market.
Anthony Lock has been appointed sub-licensee and Managing Director of Fine & Country Mallorca and will run the operation alongside his wife Holly Lock, who becomes Office Manager.
The new office overlooks Palma Marina and will market luxury and lifestyle properties across the island to domestic and international buyers.
Lock previously managed a Fine & Country office in Hertfordshire and has more than 20 years’ experience across property management, real estate, construction and recruitment. His earlier career included playing professional football.
SPANISH EXPANSION
Fine & Country Mallorca will cover markets including Palma, Son Vida, Portals Nous, Port d’Andratx, Deià, Sóller, Pollença and Santanyí.
The business will use Fine & Country’s wider UK and international network to generate cross-border referrals and market Mallorcan properties to overseas buyers.
Lock says: “Having known Mallorca since childhood, Holly and I have a genuine connection with the island. We’ve watched it develop over the years while retaining so much of the character, beauty and lifestyle that first made it special to us.
“More and more, buyers aren’t simply looking for a seasonal escape. They’re investing in a lifestyle change, whether that means relocating with their family, working remotely, enjoying a second home or planning for retirement.
“Having previously worked within Fine & Country, I know the strength of the brand and the importance it places on exceptional property marketing and personal service.”
Fine & Country Spain Chief Executive Officer Chris Hara says: “Establishing a fully branded Fine & Country presence in the heart of Palma is an important step for our Spanish network.
“It strengthens our position in one of Europe’s most desirable luxury property markets and gives us a dedicated base from which to bring Fine & Country’s distinctive approach to premium property marketing to buyers and sellers across Mallorca.”
