Tyler Grange named one of UK’s best places to work

Environmental consultancy Tyler Grange has been named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 list for the third consecutive year, as the B Corp consultancy continues to champion flexible working and employee wellbeing across the built environment sector.

The consultancy, which specialises in arboriculture, ecology, landscape planning and green infrastructure, was one of just 218 medium-sized businesses across the UK to make this year’s list.
The rankings are based on employee survey data developed by The Sunday Times in partnership with WorkL and measure areas including wellbeing, empowerment, job satisfaction, diversity and confidence in management.

Tyler Grange achieved “excellent” ratings across all major categories, with judges also highlighting the firm’s four-day working week and wider employee benefits package.

INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY

The consultancy introduced a permanent four-day week model which it says has helped drive a 29% increase in productivity, while also improving staff wellbeing and retention.

Benefits include enhanced parental leave, life insurance, resilience coaching, access to an in-house clinical psychologist and its “petiquette” policy, which allows staff to bring dogs into the workplace.

The recognition comes during Tyler Grange’s 15th anniversary year. Since launching in 2010, the consultancy says it has surveyed more than one million trees, helped secure planning consent for over 15,000 social homes and contributed to more than 3,000 hectares of green infrastructure and public open space.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Co-founder and managing director Jon Berry (main picture) says: “We have always believed that our culture is our greatest competitive advantage and that our people are our most valuable asset.

“To be recognised as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work again, for a third consecutive year, is a huge achievement and something we’re incredibly proud of.”

He adds that the company had worked hard to create “an environment where people can thrive professionally and personally”.

BETTER BUSINESS

Tyler Grange has increasingly become known within the property and planning sector for its progressive workplace culture, particularly at a time when many firms continue debating hybrid working models and employee wellbeing strategies.

The business is also an accredited Living Wage Employer, supports the Better Business Act campaign and recently became a founding member of Myllium, an international sustainability and climate impact network.
