Three quarters of prime agents would switch firms… if they could take their network with them

Three quarters of agents operating in the UK’s prime residential market say they would be more willing to change employers if they could take their professional network and deal history with them, research from AgentWise reveals

The survey found that 75% of respondents believe career moves would be easier if the relationships they have built over years of transactions and referrals were portable, while just 14% said it would make no difference. A further 11% were undecided.
The findings suggest that for many agents, professional networks have become one of their most valuable business assets, but are often constrained by the systems and firms they work for.

AgentWise says the results reflect a wider shift across the industry, with agents increasingly developing personal brands, referral networks and cross-border relationships that extend beyond a single brokerage or CRM platform.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDER

The survey coincides with the launch of the company’s new collaboration platform, which is designed to enable agents to build and maintain professional relationships independently of their employer.

Eric Corsaletti (main picture), Founder of AgentWise, says: “For many agents, their professional network is their most valuable asset. It’s built over years of introductions, transactions, referrals and trusted relationships.

“What our survey highlights is that many agents feel those relationships should move with them throughout their career, rather than being tied to a particular firm or system.”

NEUTRAL ENVIRONMENT

He adds: “The industry has become increasingly collaborative, relationship-led and international. Agents are no longer defined solely by the company they work for, but by the quality of the network they build around them.

“That’s one of the reasons we launched AgentWise. We wanted to create a neutral environment where agents can build relationships, collaborate on opportunities and maintain their professional network regardless of where they work.

“The network should belong to the agent, not the system.”

AgentWise launched in late 2024 as a WhatsApp community for prime London agents and now says it connects more than 1,200 verified property professionals across 22 countries, with its new platform offering agent profiles, referrals, deal sharing and collaboration tools.
