Strutt & Parker has strengthened its push into the UK’s prime regional city markets with the appointment of Louise Glanville (main picture) as Head of National Town and City Markets.
The newly created role reflects the firm’s ambitions to expand its presence in high-value city locations where demand for premium homes continues to blur the traditional distinction between town and country living.
Glanville joins as a Director from Knight Frank, where she spent almost a decade and most recently served as Partner and Head of the Exeter office. The appointment marks a return to Strutt & Parker, where she worked earlier in her career within the firm’s New Homes team.
Based within Strutt & Parker’s National Country House Department, Glanville will focus on growing the firm’s presence across key cathedral cities including Oxford, Cambridge, Winchester and Exeter. She will work closely with local offices to strengthen links between city and country markets and expand the firm’s super-prime offering.
CITY GROWTH

Oliver Custance Baker, Head of the National Country House Department at Strutt & Parker, says: “Louise brings a superb track record, combining strong commercial instinct with the understanding of how to support the growth of a high-performing team.
“She will be instrumental in strengthening our presence in those cathedral cities where the lines between town and country living are increasingly blurred; where you can find homes with the scale and character of the countryside, in the heart of the city.”
Glanville adds: “I am delighted to be returning to Strutt & Parker at such an exciting time for the business.
“I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the country to build on their existing network and help drive the next phase of growth in these prime city markets.”
The appointment forms part of a wider investment programme by Strutt & Parker and its parent company BNP Paribas Group.
Recent initiatives have included a series of senior hires, the launch of a London broker team and a wider rebrand as the business looks to grow market share across key prime residential markets.
