Spitfire Homes has secured planning permission for another 240 homes at its Malabar development in Daventry.
The approval covers the next phases of the 123-acre development off Staverton Road, which is ultimately planned to provide around 1,100 homes.
Malabar is Spitfire’s largest development to date and the housebuilder says only a limited number of properties from the existing phases remain available.
The latest consent will introduce additional house types and allow construction to continue across the growing scheme.
1,100-HOME DEVELOPMENT
The wider masterplan includes more than 50 acres of public open space connected by green corridors and over three kilometres of walking and cycling routes.
Homes in the newly approved phases will include solar panels, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and electric vehicle charging points as standard.
Spitfire says delivery of the homes is expected to generate more than £12m of investment in the local area and support more than 3,400 jobs.

MIDLANDS GROWTH
The new phases will continue the development’s mix of different character areas, ranging from village-style properties on its rural edges to townhouses closer to a central square.
