Reapit and Goodlord deepen partnership to help agents with RRA

Reapit and Goodlord have announced a new strategic partnership designed to help letting agents streamline tenant onboarding, strengthen compliance processes and improve visibility across the entire tenancy journey.

The agreement brings together Goodlord’s tenant referencing, compliance, insurance and tenancy progression services with Reapit’s property management platform, giving agents greater oversight at a time when the Renters’ Rights Act is placing increased emphasis on record keeping, compliance and tenant selection.
The enhanced integration is intended to help agents demonstrate that every stage of the tenancy process has been completed correctly, while reducing administrative workloads and improving operational efficiency.

The move comes as local authorities receive additional funding and powers to enforce housing legislation, increasing the importance of robust compliance procedures throughout the lettings process.

INFORMED DECISIONS

Under the partnership, Goodlord’s referencing and affordability assessments will help agents make more informed decisions when placing tenants, while built-in compliance checks will support licensing requirements and tenancy documentation.

The integration also incorporates insurance products designed to help landlords manage risks associated with rent arrears, property damage and tenant default.

The next phase of the partnership, due to be launched in the coming months, will bring Goodlord’s key services directly into the Reapit platform, allowing agents to manage the tenant journey from initial affordability checks through to digital contract signing and payment set-up without moving between multiple systems.

By consolidating tenancy data within Reapit, agents will also gain access to enhanced reporting and a single real-time view of tenancy progression across their business.

CLEARER OVERSIGHT

Steve Richmond (main picture), General Manager for UK and Ireland at Reapit, says: “Our partnership with Goodlord will help agents get pre-tenancy right the first time, every time. It means less duplication, clearer oversight and more confidence for agents and their landlords.

“And this is only the beginning. We’ll be continuing to work closely with Goodlord to deliver even more value for agents over time as we build the gold-standard partnership for tenancy progression in the property industry.”

BIG CHALLENGES

Recent research shows that administration and compliance remain among the biggest challenges facing agents.

Tom Goodman, Managing Director of the Goodlord Group, says: “With the Renters’ Rights Act increasing the pressure on accuracy and record keeping, that challenge is only growing.

“Thanks to our partnership, agents will be able to manage referencing, progression and protection with far less manual effort. Information flows into Reapit automatically, giving agents a clear view of every tenancy without extra work.”

Representatives from both companies will be attending Propertymark One on 12 June to discuss the partnership and its role in helping agents adapt to the changing lettings landscape.
