Housing Minister Baroness Taylor to address Propertymark One

Housing Minister Baroness Taylor of Stevenage OBE (main picture, inset) will deliver a UK Government update at Propertymark One this week, providing property professionals with insight into the reforms shaping the future of the housing market.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Housing and Local Government has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at the conference, which takes place at ExCeL London on 12 June in partnership with Rightmove.
Baroness Taylor is currently leading a number of housing and property reforms, including work aimed at modernising the home buying and selling process and proposals relating to material information in property listings.

Her appearance comes at a time of significant change across the sector, with agents, conveyancers and other property professionals closely watching the Government’s plans to improve transaction times, increase transparency and raise standards for consumers.

HOUSING POLICY UPDATE

Propertymark says the session will provide delegates with a direct update on housing policy priorities and the progress of reforms that are expected to impact agents and consumers alike.

Baroness Taylor joins a high-profile line-up of speakers that includes Baroness Karren Brady CBE, Sir Mel Stride MP, Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner MP, broadcaster and technology journalist Lara Lewington and political commentator Daisy McAndrew.

The conference programme will explore a range of issues affecting the sector, including artificial intelligence, data, housing policy, economics and evolving consumer behaviour.

Sessions will also examine ways to improve transaction efficiency, emerging agency business models, auction partnerships, lead generation strategies and opportunities for business growth.

Jason Lee, Head of Commercial at Propertymark, says: “We are delighted to welcome Baroness Taylor of Stevenage to Propertymark One. As the Government continues to progress reforms to the home buying and selling process, this is a significant opportunity for property professionals to hear directly from the Minister responsible for shaping these changes.

“The property sector is undergoing a period of considerable transformation, driven by evolving consumer expectations, technological innovation and regulatory reform. Propertymark One brings together industry leaders, policymakers and practitioners to discuss these changes and explore the opportunities they present.”

Lee adds that the minister’s attendance underlined the importance of collaboration between government and the property profession as the sector adapts to ongoing change.

Propertymark One is expected to attract agents, business owners and industry leaders from across the UK property sector and is set to be one of the industry’s largest events of the year.
