Propertymark has launched a week-long fundraising challenge in support of the Propertymark Trust with staff aiming to collectively cycle 971 miles during Mental Health Awareness Week.
The sponsored static bike ride, which began on Monday 11 May, will see employees attempt to cover the equivalent distance between the most northerly and most southerly Propertymark member.
The initiative is designed to raise awareness and vital funds for the Propertymark Trust, which supports property professionals and their families facing hardship.
Four exercise bikes have been installed across Propertymark’s offices, with staff contributing miles throughout the week as the organisation works towards its target. By Monday, the team had already completed more than 160 miles as momentum gathered behind the campaign.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
The challenge has also been inspired by the personal experiences of Propertymark Executive Assistant Kate Bargery, who received support from the Trust after multiple cancer diagnoses created both financial and emotional pressures.
Propertymark says the campaign highlights the importance of mental health support and wider wellbeing within the property sector, particularly as many professionals continue to face economic and personal challenges.
The organisation is encouraging estate agents, letting agents and wider property professionals to follow the challenge online, help raise awareness and donate to support the Trust’s work.
INDUSTRY LIFELINE

Nathan Emerson, Chief Executive Officer of Propertymark, says: “Today marks the start of an important week for Propertymark and the wider sector. This challenge is about more than cycling miles; it’s about coming together as an industry to support colleagues and families facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
“The Propertymark Trust continues to provide a lifeline for many people across the profession, and we’re encouraging agents everywhere to get behind the campaign, follow our progress, and donate where possible to help us maximise the impact of this initiative.”
Propertymark says updates on the challenge will be shared across its social media channels throughout the week.
