Rightmove is hosting a webinar to help estate agents reduce fall-throughs and improve the home-moving process.
The session, taking place on Thursday 23 July, will feature property expert and television presenter Phil Spencer (main picture) and John Reynolds, Co-founder and COO of property transaction platform Coadjute.
It will explore the causes of delayed and failed transactions, alongside how better collaboration, information sharing and technology could make property sales faster and more certain.
The webinar will also consider the role agents play in maintaining customer confidence when delays occur, including where the underlying causes are outside their direct control.
COMMUNICATION MATTERS
New Rightmove research due to be discussed during the session suggests that good communication can matter more to movers than speed.
Asked which estate agent they would be more likely to recommend, 80% of movers selected an agent whose sale took longer than expected but who kept them informed throughout the process.
By comparison, just 3% chose an agent whose sale completed quickly but who left them in the dark.

Jason Charles , Head of Education at Rightmove, says: “While many of the causes of delays and fall-throughs sit outside an agent’s direct control, they play a critical role in keeping customers informed, maintaining confidence and helping transactions progress.
“Fall-throughs remain one of the most frustrating parts of the journey for both agents and their customers. By bringing together expert voices like Phil Spencer and John Reynolds, alongside real examples and consumer insight, we hope this webinar will give agents practical, achievable ways to improve the process.”
