A further 61 homes have been launched at the £200m regeneration of the former Royal Haslar naval hospital on the Hampshire coast.
Haslar Developments is bringing forward Solent View, comprising one, two and three-bedroom apartments across seven buildings at the 62-acre Royal Haslar development near Alverstoke.
Around 44 apartments will be delivered across four new-build blocks, with the remaining homes created through the conversion and restoration of three protected historic buildings.
The latest phase marks a return to unrestricted open-market housing at Royal Haslar following the delivery of both retirement and open-market homes elsewhere on the site.
550-HOME SCHEME
The wider redevelopment is ultimately expected to provide more than 550 homes, comprising around 350 market-sale apartments and 200 independent living retirement properties.
Plans for the former naval hospital also include more than 50,000 sq ft of business space alongside retail, leisure, food and drink facilities and a new Royal Haslar heritage museum.
The completed scheme is expected to have a gross development value of more than £200m.

HISTORIC REGENERATION
Royal Haslar operated as a naval hospital for more than 250 years, from 1753 until 2007, treating casualties from conflicts including the Napoleonic Wars, First and Second World Wars and Falklands Campaign.
Its redevelopment involves the restoration and reuse of its Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian buildings alongside new construction.
Power adds: “First completions are expected later this year, with further phased completion reaching into 2027.”
Prices at Solent View start from £325,000, with the first homes expected to complete later this year.
