LRG rolls out nationwide office investment programme

LRG has completed a major programme of office upgrades across its UK network, with a new group headquarters (main picture) and a series of regional refurbishments forming part of a wider investment in its branch estate.

The property group said the refurbishment programme is designed to improve workplaces while embedding more sustainable practices across its expanding national network.
The new headquarters, selected for its strong environmental credentials, has achieved a SKA Gold sustainability rating following a refurbishment focused on reusing existing materials, improving energy efficiency and reducing waste.

Alongside the head office move, LRG has completed office projects in Sheffield, Derby, Manchester and Poole, while further investment is planned throughout 2026, including a flagship office in Nottingham, a second flagship location in Southampton and around 20 additional branch refurbishments.

SUSTAINABLE FIT-OUT STANDARDS

The programme will also see sustainable fit-out standards introduced across Chancellors offices following the agency’s acquisition by LRG in 2025.

Colin O’Hara, Group Facilities & Procurement Director at LRG, says: “The new head office was a pivotal project for us, not just because of its scale, but because it set the standard for how we want to operate as a group.

“Sustainability was not something we added at the end of the process. It shaped the decisions we made from the outset, from selecting the building through to how we approached the refurbishment, reuse of materials and long-term energy efficiency.”

SUSTAINABILITY PRINCIPLES

David Wilson, Chief Operating Officer at LRG, adds: “Reducing our environmental impact is as much about behaviour and operational discipline as it is about the buildings themselves.

“By putting better systems, data and accountability in place, we are able to make smarter decisions day to day that lower energy use, reduce costs and support our longer-term carbon objectives.”

LRG says sustainability principles will now be applied across all future office projects, from routine maintenance through to major refurbishments, as it continues investing in its national branch network.
