LMS has appointed Ian Robinson as Chief Executive Officer on a permanent basis after he took the role on an interim basis in June.
Robinson (main picture), who has spent 20 years with the conveyancing services provider, stepped up following the departure of former Chief Executive Nick Chadbourne.
His permanent appointment was confirmed by the LMS board on Wednesday following an external recruitment process.
Robinson was previously Chief Operating Officer and is the company’s longest-serving director, having joined LMS in 2006 from Santander, formerly Abbey National.
TWO DECADES AT LMS
During his time as Chief Operating Officer, Robinson was responsible for the recruitment, management and operational delivery of LMS’s law firm network.
He also led the team managing its general conveyancing operation, supporting more than 50 lenders.
LMS manages around 450,000 transactions annually, supporting approximately £70bn of lending.

Nick Hale, Chief Executive of Movera and an LMS shareholder, says Robinson’s appointment was unanimous.
He says: “Ian was the standout candidate following a thorough selection process, including an extensive external search.
“He has served LMS brilliantly for the past 20 years and since stepping up as interim CEO, he has demonstrated strong leadership, ensuring the business continues to deliver great outcomes for its partners and customers, and with a clear vision for the future.”
‘CLEAR DIRECTION’
Robinson says the company’s focus would remain unchanged following his permanent appointment.
He adds: “While my role is now permanent, our focus at LMS remains the same. We have a solid business, a clear direction and plenty of opportunity ahead of us.
“We continue to make strong progress with Panel Link, Remortgage, Select, and Confirmly, which are all designed to make the home-buying and selling journey more secure and faster.”
He adds that the National Property Transaction Network was delivering a “step-change” in how property transactions are conducted across the UK.
Robinson says: “I look forward to continuing to work with colleagues across LMS as we build on the progress we’ve made and support our customers and partners.”
