EweMove celebrates 13 years amid industry change

Estate agency franchise EweMove is marking its 13th anniversary by reflecting on more than a decade of transformation across the UK property sector.

Since launching in 2013, the business has grown from a challenger brand into one of the UK’s largest estate agency franchise networks, navigating a period that has included Brexit, the pandemic, sweeping regulatory change and the emergence of multiple online and hybrid agency models.
Over the same period, the industry has witnessed the rise and fall of a number of well-known disruptor brands, while agents have adapted to changing consumer expectations, advances in technology and increasing compliance obligations.

Despite these changes, EweMove says the fundamentals of estate agency remain largely unchanged.

170 FRANCHISEES

Today, the business supports around 170 franchisees across the UK and recently secured the title of Best National Sales Agent at the EA Masters Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

Nick Neill, Managing Director of EweMove, says: “The last 13 years have seen enormous change in estate agency. Technology, compliance requirements and customer expectations have all evolved significantly.

“What has remained remarkably consistent is that property is still a people business. Customers still want trusted advice, excellent communication and somebody who genuinely cares about helping them move. The agents who build trust, deliver great service and become known within their local communities continue to be the ones who succeed.”

SUPPORTING BUSINESS OWNERS

The milestone comes at a time when the sector is continuing to adapt to new legislation, evolving consumer demands and the growing influence of artificial intelligence and digital technology.

EweMove says its focus remains on supporting local business owners while continuing to evolve alongside the wider industry.

Neill adds: “As we enter our teenage years, our focus remains firmly on helping franchisees build successful local businesses, delivering exceptional customer experiences and continuing to adapt to the changing needs of the property market.”

The company believes that while operating models may continue to evolve, the importance of local expertise, trust and personal service remains central to long-term success in estate agency.
