ARL appoints regional hub chair

The Association for Rental Living has appointed Richard Frudd as Chair of its North East and Yorkshire Hub.

Frudd (main picture), Senior Planning Director at Quod, took up the position on 1 September and succeeds Paul Beattie of Glide UK.
He will work alongside existing Vice Chair Dan Asquith of BRE to support the hub’s regional advocacy and government engagement.

The group will also focus on raising awareness of how Build to Rent can help address housing challenges across the North East and Yorkshire.

REGIONAL EXPERIENCE

Frudd has more than 25 years’ experience working on large-scale and complex residential, commercial and strategically important regional developments.

The hub was founded in 2024 under Beattie’s leadership to support education, networking and the growth of professionally managed rental housing across the region.

Brendan Geraghty, Chief Executive Officer of the Association for Rental Living, says: “We are delighted that Richard will lead the next phase of the Hub’s valuable work, with education, networking and events all contributing to the success and growth of the residential living sector in the North East and Yorkshire.

“The Association for Rental Living would also like to thank outgoing Chair Paul Beattie of Glide for his extensive work in founding the Hub back in 2024, which came at a key moment for Build to Rent schemes in the region.”

Frudd adds: “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the Hub into its next chapter following the brilliant work of Paul and Dan to get it established and thriving.

“We look forward to engaging with our peers across the public and private sectors to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of rental living in the region.”

WINTER EVENT

The hub will hold its Winter Seminar and Social on 26 November 2026.

The event is open to members and non-members and will include market insights and networking for professionals working across the rental living sector.
