VIVID is progressing the construction of 17 affordable homes in New Milton, with completion expected by April 2027.
The housing association is delivering 14 houses and three flats for social rent on land next to Milton Barns on Gore Road.
Local contractor Glossbrook is building the development, which has received grant funding support from Homes England.
Members and officers from New Forest District Council visited the site to review progress, including portfolio holder for housing Councillor Steve Davies, Councillor Steve Clarke and strategic director for housing and communities Sophie Sajic.
PARTNERSHIP TARGETS LOCAL NEED
The homes will be allocated to individuals and families through the council’s housing register.

New Forest District Council has worked as an enabler to help VIVID bring the scheme forward.
Davies said: “This development is a significant achievement and highlights the value of partnership working in tackling local housing need.
“These new homes will provide security, opportunity and a strong foundation for individuals and families to build their future.”
COMPLETION NEXT SPRING
Richard Fooks, managing director of Glossbrook Builders, said the project reflected the contractor’s commitment to delivering well-designed and sustainable affordable homes.

Subject to construction progress, the properties are expected to be completed by April next year.
The Gore Road project forms part of a wider programme of VIVID developments across the New Forest intended to increase the supply of affordable housing for local residents.
