Veyco has launched what it describes as the first WhatsApp-based AI assistant designed specifically for estate agents and law firms, aimed at reducing administrative pressure and improving communication throughout the home-moving process.
Called Veyco Chat, the platform is already live with a number of estate agents and conveyancing firms, including one of Scotland’s largest conveyancers, and is designed to handle routine client enquiries through both chat and voice messaging.
The system allows buyers and sellers to ask questions via WhatsApp and receive immediate responses in plain English about the sales progression and conveyancing process, helping explain transaction stages, timelines and next steps.
The launch comes as both agents and conveyancers continue to face growing pressure around transaction management, client communication and fall-through prevention.
RESOURCE INTENSIVE
For estate agents, keeping buyers and sellers informed while simultaneously progressing chains, chasing solicitors and managing pipelines has become increasingly resource intensive, particularly in a slower and more uncertain market.
Conveyancers are facing similar pressures, with high caseloads often leading to reactive rather than proactive communication.
Veyco says the assistant has been designed to reduce routine inbound calls and emails, freeing professionals to focus on progressing transactions and resolving more complex issues.
The platform has also been built with compliance and data protection safeguards, limiting the sharing of sensitive transaction-specific information while still providing guidance and reassurance to clients.
MORE TRANSPARENT

Clare McKenna, General Manager at Veyco, says: “One of the biggest challenges in property is not the legal work itself, but the communication around it. Clients often feel unsure about what is happening, while conveyancers are balancing large caseloads and constant incoming queries.
“This is about making the whole experience simpler and more transparent for everyone in the chain. By giving clients access to clear, immediate information through a channel they already use every day, we reduce uncertainty on all sides without adding pressure to the professionals managing the transaction.
“It is also an example of how AI can be applied in a way that is practical and controlled, supporting professionals rather than trying to replace them.”
The launch reflects a wider shift within the property sector towards AI-led automation and communication tools, particularly as estate agents and legal firms look for ways to improve client experience, reduce transaction delays and manage rising operational workloads more efficiently.
