Heritage-led housing and regeneration will get a dedicated programme at UKREiiF next year as developers look at how historic buildings can be brought back into productive use.
The property and infrastructure event is launching its first Heritage, Culture and Creative Industries Day as part of UKREiiF 2027 in Leeds from 18 to 20 May.
The programme will examine adaptive reuse, heritage-led regeneration and investment in historic buildings alongside their role in housing delivery and economic growth.
Heritage-led property developer PJ Livesey has signed as headline partner and will help shape discussions bringing together developers, investors, public bodies and heritage organisations.
HISTORIC BUILDINGS
Georgina Lynch, Managing Director at PJ Livesey Group, says: “Historic buildings are too often seen as a constraint, when with the right heritage expertise, delivery experience and partnerships they can be part of the solution to the UK’s housing and regeneration challenge.

Donald Insall Associates will also host a roundtable and panel examining the challenges and long-term value of heritage-led development.
REGENERATION
The wider programme will cover investment strategies, funding models, heritage skills and approaches to repurposing historic buildings.
Lynch adds: “UKREiiF gives us a valuable opportunity to connect the people who can unlock more of these projects, investors, developers, public bodies and heritage organisations, and move the conversation from ambition to delivery, before delay becomes decay.”
Mina Saeed, Content and Programme Manager at UKREiiF, says the new programme will create opportunities for collaboration between organisations involved in heritage, culture and the built environment.
