Glasgow estate agencies using Street.co.uk are handling an average 17.3 property sales per branch each month, the highest level among Britain’s major cities analysed by the platform.
Liverpool follows with 10.3 sales per branch each month, while Nottingham ranks third at 9.9 and Manchester records 9.2.
Across all the cities analysed, Street.co.uk says agencies using its platform handle an average 4.7 sales per branch each month.
That compares with its estimated wider-market benchmark of 2.7 sales per branch, calculated using residential transaction volumes and estimated numbers of estate agency branches.
BUSIEST CITIES
Edinburgh and Southampton both record an average eight sales a month among Street.co.uk branches, followed by Sheffield at 7.4 and Portsmouth at 6.4.
Newcastle averages 5.3, while Birmingham completes the top 10 at 4.5 sales per branch per month.
Street.co.uk estimates the wider Glasgow market handles an average 5.4 sales per branch each month, while Liverpool averages 3.3 and Nottingham 2.4.
The figures are based on Street.co.uk’s own customer activity and therefore do not represent the performance of all estate agency branches operating in each city.
AGENT PRODUCTIVITY
Heather Staff (main picture, inset), Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Street Group, says: “Our own data shows that Street.co.uk branches are handling higher transaction volumes than their competitors, with particularly strong levels of activity across some of Britain’s major cities.
“Across the cities we’ve analysed, Street.co.uk branches are handling an average of 4.7 sales per month, compared to 2.7 across the wider market. While technology alone doesn’t make a successful estate agency, having the right infrastructure in place can make an enormous difference to how effectively agents are able to manage and progress the opportunities available to them.”
Street.co.uk says separate analysis found vendors using one of its agents were 23% more likely to reach sold subject to contract status.
Staff adds: “That’s where choosing technology that can scale with an agency becomes a genuine competitive advantage.”
