Redwing Living chooses Alto to support block management growth

Redwing Living has selected Alto’s property management platform to support its expansion into block management and strengthen compliance reporting across its growing residential portfolio.

The Regenda Group business, which manages more than 2,000 leasehold, shared ownership and market rent properties, says the move was driven by the need for a dedicated block management solution as it takes on new developments.
The requirement became more pressing as several schemes approached handover, including a high-rise building subject to enhanced fire safety and compliance obligations.

Redwing Living said its existing technology setup did not provide the specialist functionality required to manage block operations effectively, prompting a review of alternative systems.

Kayleigh Davenport, Head of Residential Management at Redwing Living, says: “We operate across multiple systems today. But when we started taking on block management, we realised we didn’t have a system that could support that function.

“We had blocks coming in quickly, including one over 18 metres where compliance reporting is absolutely critical. At that point, it became clear we needed a solution we could implement quickly and rely on from a compliance perspective.”

Following an evaluation process, Redwing Living selected Alto, citing its compliance reporting capabilities and service charge management functionality as key factors behind the decision.

Davenport adds: “The compliance side looked straightforward to use, which is essential for us given the regulatory environment we operate in.

“Alongside that, the way service charges are generated and presented to landlords was a major factor in the decision.”

The initial rollout will focus on block management while operating alongside existing systems already used across the wider group.

Nick Shaw, Chief Revenue Officer at Alto, said: “Redwing Living is a great example of a modern, complex housing organisation balancing multiple systems, regulatory requirements and growth ambitions.

“The team needed a solution that could be deployed quickly, handle compliance with confidence and integrate into a wider operational environment.

“We’re delighted to support them as they expand into block management and continue to grow their portfolio.”

The appointment comes as compliance requirements continue to increase across the residential management sector, particularly for higher-risk buildings.
