More than 300 estate agencies have signed up to deploy a new AI-powered “workforce” platform within days of its launch as growing numbers of firms look to automate core agency tasks and reduce administrative workloads.
Street.co.uk said agencies are already in the process of going live on Cortex, its newly launched AI platform designed to allow estate agents, letting agents and property managers to create and manage their own AI agents across day-to-day business operations.
The platform sits above Street’s existing CRM and marketing systems and has been developed over the past six months. Unlike many existing AI tools used within the sector, Street says Cortex is designed to actively complete tasks rather than simply assist staff with them.
According to the company, AI agents built within Cortex can handle enquiries, client communication, marketing workflows, sales progression and elements of property management, while operating directly within an agency’s existing systems.
COMPLIANCE DEMANDS
The launch reflects the growing pace of AI adoption across the property sector, as agencies face increasing pressure to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs and manage growing compliance demands.
Street argues that the technology could significantly reduce the amount of time agency staff spend on repetitive administration, allowing negotiators and property professionals to focus more heavily on relationship management, vendor care and deal negotiation.
The company also believes the technology could fundamentally reshape how agency teams are structured in future, with some traditionally manual processes increasingly handled by autonomous AI systems capable of reasoning and executing multi-step tasks.
ENORMOUS IMPACT
Tom Staff (main picture), Co-founder of Street.co.uk, says: “We are pleased, but not entirely surprised, about the huge take-up we have already seen for Cortex.
“AI is destined to make an enormous impact on our industry, not least the ways in which agency teams are built and roles executed.
“Many will look at the implications and shy away, but most understand that, ultimately, this technology is about enabling agents to spend more time doing the things that truly require a human touch and bring, by far, the most value to their clients – building relationships, advising clients, and delivering better outcomes.
“The industry has been inundated with AI tools and add-ons, and the reason Cortex is standing high above the crowd is because it reflects a far more fundamental shift in capability and intent.”
