OPDA adds Hiizzy and Instamo to membership

The Open Property Data Association has welcomed Hiizzy and Instamo as members as it continues to expand industry collaboration around digital property transactions.

Their arrival brings property listing and mortgage application technology into the association’s growing network of banks, building societies, conveyancers, estate agents and technology providers.
Both businesses aim to reduce the duplication and manual processing that can contribute to delays during homebuying and mortgage journeys.

The announcement comes as the government progresses reforms intended to make property information available earlier and increase the use of interoperable technology across housing transactions.

CONNECTED PROPERTY DATA

Hiizzy provides a technology-enabled listing service intended to give sellers greater choice, control and visibility.

The business is also developing structured property records that combine authoritative data, seller disclosures, digital verification and supporting documents.

By capturing information at the listing stage and enabling its secure reuse, Hiizzy aims to help buyers, sellers and property professionals progress transactions with greater certainty.

Lewis Buckley (main picture, inset left), CEO and Founding Partner of Hiizzy, says: “The listing stage is where most of that information is first captured, so that’s our starting point.

“Joining OPDA is a key part of making this real and its work on open standards and trusted data sharing gives us the framework to move from digital listings to genuine transaction infrastructure.”

MORTGAGE APPLICATIONS

Instamo offers secure autofill technology for mortgage applications. Its platform uses adviser-approved client information to populate visible fields within lenders’ portals, with the aim of reducing rekeying, errors and application times.

Freddie Savundra (main picture, inset right), Founder of Instamo, says too much time was being lost through manual processes, duplication and disconnected systems.

“Joining OPDA gives us the opportunity to work alongside forward-thinking organisations that share our vision for a more efficient, data-driven property market,” he adds.

Maria Harris, chair of the OPDA, says: “As the government’s homebuying and selling reforms gather pace, the need for collaboration around data standards, interoperability and trusted information sharing has never been greater.

“The strength of the OPDA lies in bringing together innovators from across the property and mortgage sectors to create the foundations for a truly digital property market.”

The OPDA develops open standards and models intended to make property information trusted, reusable and securely shareable between participants in a transaction.
