LRG expands into west Birmingham with new acquisition

LRG has acquired Doolittle & Dalley, a long-established family-run estate agency operating across Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.

The deal strengthens LRG’s regional network and helps it expand into a new territory west of Birmingham.
Founded more than 130 years ago, Doolittle & Dalley has remained continuously family-operated for more than 100 years, by the same family still working within the company today.

The acquisition brings another established regional business into LRG’s growing network, with all staff transferring to LRG following completion.

The business will continue to operate under the Doolittle & Dalley name, retaining the local identity and reputation it has built over many decades.

Matthew Light, group mergers and acquisitions director at LRG, says: “Doolittle & Dalley is a business with real history in its local market. It has remained trusted within the community for generations, which says a great deal about the strength of the team and the relationships they have built over time.

“The strength of the Doolittle & Dalley name has been built over decades through consistency, reputation and local relationships, and that is exactly what attracted us to the business.”

This acquisition reflects LRG’s continued focus on expanding its full-service estate agency offering, with ongoing interest in partnering with high-quality businesses across sales, lettings and property management.

ACQUISITION TRAIL

Michael Cook, chief executive at LRG, adds: “This acquisition strengthens our presence in an important new area for LRG and adds another well-established regional business to the group. Doolittle & Dalley has built a strong position locally through consistency, experience and service, and those qualities make it a natural fit for our network.”

Richard Hall, director at Dolittle & Dalley, says, “Doolittle & Dalley has always focused on local knowledge, long-term relationships and providing a consistent service to clients across the region. In considering the future of the business, the priority was to find the right long-term home for Doolittle & Dalley, with the strength and stability to support both staff and clients. LRG stood out because it shares our focus on local relationships and consistent service, while bringing the support, scale and experience to help the business continue building on its strong local position.”
