Lomond has secured two major workplace accolades as the fast-growing lettings and estate agency group continues its rapid expansion across the UK property sector.
The company has been named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for 2026 in the “Very Big Organisation” category, while also earning recognition in Great Place to Work UK’s “Best Workplaces for Development” rankings.
The awards come at a pivotal stage for Lomond, which now employs more than 2,500 staff across eight UK regions following a series of acquisitions that have rapidly expanded the business in recent years.
The group has become one of the most acquisitive operators in the UK agency sector, with recent deals including Homesure in Liverpool, Prospect in the Thames Valley and Clyde Property in Scotland.
RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION
Industry consolidation has intensified across estate agency and lettings as firms seek greater scale, operational efficiencies and stronger regional coverage amid rising regulatory pressures and tougher market conditions.
Against that backdrop, recruitment, retention and staff development have become increasingly important battlegrounds for larger agency groups competing for experienced talent.
The Sunday Times recognition marks the first time Lomond has appeared in the “Very Big Organisation” category, reflecting the scale the business has now reached.
Meanwhile, Great Place to Work UK’s development award recognises employers that actively support employee progression, training and career development.
PEOPLE FIRST
Lomond says its people strategy includes mentoring schemes, management development programmes, graduate pathways and diversity and inclusion initiatives designed to support employees across different disciplines and career stages.
Ed Phillips (main picture), Group Chief Executive of Lomond, says: “The property industry is an incredibly fast-moving environment, and I am immensely proud to be recognised for the focus we have on our people.
“Our people are at the heart of what we do, and we believe that investing in them is fundamental to our long-term success.”
Clare Wakeford, Chief People Officer at Lomond, added: “These awards truly reflect the culture we have worked hard to create at Lomond.
“We strive to ensure people feel supported and empowered to develop in a way that’s meaningful to them.”
The group recently strengthened its senior leadership team further with the appointment of James Cosser-Hindle as Group People Director as Lomond continues to scale its operations nationally.
