Lomond has appointed Darrell Evans as Chief Commercial Officer and Steve Maddock as Chief Operating Officer as the estate and lettings agency group continues its national expansion.
Evans (main picture, left) will lead Lomond’s commercial growth and strategic revenue initiatives, with responsibility for marketing, lead generation and Lomond Investment Management.
Maddock (main picture, right) will oversee the group’s operations and technology functions and join Chief Executive Officer Paul Geddes and Evans on Lomond’s senior leadership team.
The appointments follow a series of acquisitions by the group, including Ocean in Bristol, FHP Living in Nottingham and City Residential in Liverpool.
COMMERCIAL GROWTH
Evans brings more than 30 years’ experience across financial services, retail banking and mortgages.
His previous roles include Chief Executive Officer of Benenden Health and Chief Commercial Officer at The Co-operative Bank, as well as senior positions at Direct Line Group and Virgin Money.
Evans says: “Lomond has established a unique position within the UK property sector, and the ambition to deliver outstanding experiences for its customers is one I’m excited to foster and expand upon.”
OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY
Maddock also has more than 30 years’ experience, specialising in operations, technology and business transformation.
He spent 11 years at Direct Line, including six years as Chief Operating Officer, where he previously worked alongside Geddes. He also served as Chair of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau for seven years.

Geddes says: “Darrell and Steve are two of the most outstanding commercial leaders I have had the pleasure of working with over the past 36 years.
“With their respective exceptional track records, I am delighted to be calling them colleagues once again, as they come on board at Lomond.”
Maddock adds: “Lomond already has an exceptionally strong foundation in place and there’s a clear opportunity to build on it ahead.”
