Dwelly has passed 16,000 properties under management after completing two further acquisitions, taking its deal count to 13 this year.
The group has acquired the lettings portfolio of Hull-based Symonds & Greenham and Worcestershire estate and lettings agency Michelle & Co.
Together the deals add around 475 fully managed properties, taking Dwelly’s total portfolio to approximately 16,140.
They follow the group’s recent acquisition of Kent-based Helen Breeze Property Management as Dwelly continues its expansion across the UK lettings market.
HULL PORTFOLIO
Dwelly has acquired around 200 fully managed properties from Symonds & Greenham in an asset-only transaction.
The portfolio will be integrated into Lime, Dwelly’s existing Hull business, strengthening its presence across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Its second deal is the acquisition of Barnt Green-based Michelle & Co, which manages approximately 275 properties.
Unlike the Hull portfolio acquisition, Michelle & Co will continue operating as a standalone business under its existing identity.
Director Michelle Mehjoo will remain with the agency on a consultancy basis following the acquisition.
13 DEALS
Dwelly has now completed 13 acquisitions during 2026 as it builds its presence across London, the Midlands, Yorkshire and other regional rental markets.
Sam Humphreys (main picture, left), Head of M&A at Dwelly, says: “Surpassing 16,000 properties under management is another significant milestone for Dwelly, particularly as we’ve reached it through 13 acquisitions in 2026 alone.
“But what’s more important than the number itself is the strength and breadth of the business we’re building.”
Humphreys says the two latest transactions demonstrate the different approaches Dwelly is prepared to take when acquiring agencies and portfolios.
He adds: “We don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all approach to acquisitions.
“Our ability to offer different solutions, whether that’s a full business acquisition, a succession plan for an owner or the purchase of a managed lettings portfolio, is an important part of how we’re able to continue growing at pace.”
Mehjoo says: “Having built a business around providing a personal service to our landlords and tenants, it was important to find a buyer who understood the value of those relationships and the reputation we’ve established locally.
“Dwelly’s approach means Michelle & Co can retain its identity while benefiting from the investment, technology and wider support of a much larger organisation.”
