Landmark wins Ordnance Survey geospatial contract

Landmark Information Group has been appointed to deliver geospatial data processing services for Ordnance Survey under a new national framework.

The contract forms part of Ordnance Survey’s Geospatial Content Enhancement Framework, which supports the maintenance and development of the National Geographic Database.
Landmark is one of three suppliers selected and will work in partnership with RMSI to deliver large-scale data management and update services.

The work will contribute to ongoing programmes to ensure geospatial data across Great Britain remains accurate, up to date and fit for use across multiple sectors.

DATA QUALITY

The National Geographic Database underpins a wide range of activities, including planning, infrastructure, environmental management and property, making it a critical resource for both public and private sector users.

Landmark’s appointment builds on previous work with Ordnance Survey, where it has supported the maintenance of national datasets and delivered high-volume data updates.

The agreement will run for four years, with a focus on improving data quality, supporting innovation and ensuring consistent delivery across the supply chain.

MEANINGUL OUTCOMES

Richard Cooper, Operations Director at Landmark Information Group, says: “High integrity, authoritative location data is fundamental to national infrastructure and economic activity.

“We are proud to contribute our expertise to supporting Ordnance Survey in sustaining and evolving Great Britain’s core geospatial datasets.”

David Dibble, Geospatial Supply Chain Manager at Ordnance Survey, adds: “Landmark’s proven geospatial expertise and commitment to quality align well with our ambitions for this framework.

“We look forward to working closely to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and maximise value across our operations.”
