Eight runners will take on the Royal Parks Half Marathon next month to raise funds for charities supporting people experiencing homelessness.
The team will run the 13.1-mile London course on 11 October on behalf of The Fine & Country Foundation, which provides grants to homelessness charities and other organisations supporting communities facing hardship.
Participants include Fine & Country Chief Marketing Officer Emilie Despois, Edward Taylor of Fine & Country Marlborough and Devizes, Jemma Friday of Fine & Country Cardiff and Tom Carter of Fine & Country North Wales.
They will be joined by Foundation friends and supporters William Grain, Baz Stevens, Jack Houghton and Lee Townson.
£1M RAISED
The Fine & Country Foundation was established in 2014 with a focus on combating homelessness and has since expanded its support to other communities facing crisis in the UK and internationally.
It has now raised and donated more than £1m to charities and community organisations.
Money raised through events including the Royal Parks Half Marathon supports the Foundation’s twice-yearly grant programmes.
Charities and community organisations nominated through the Fine & Country network can apply for grants of up to £3,000, with funding used to support vulnerable people and communities.
13.1-MILE CHALLENGE

Despois, who is also a Trustee of The Fine & Country Foundation, says: “Taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon is a challenge but knowing that every mile is helping raise vital funds for The Foundation makes the training and effort even more worthwhile.
“As a Trustee, I see first-hand the difference The Foundation’s grants can make to charities and communities facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
“I’m proud to be running alongside colleagues, friends and supporters of The Foundation, and I hope our team can inspire as many people as possible to get behind us and help us make a meaningful difference.”
The Royal Parks Half Marathon takes runners through Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as past a number of London landmarks.
