Fine & Country director takes on 47-mile Cross Wales Walk

Tom Carter (main picture), Director of Fine & Country North Wales, is preparing to take on a gruelling 47-mile endurance challenge this weekend to raise funds for The Fine & Country Foundation.

Carter will join six other participants in the ‘Cross Wales Walk’, which begins at the Shropshire/Powys border and finishes in Aberystwyth.
The team will set off at 4.30am on Saturday 9 May and aims to complete the entire route before nightfall.

The challenge comes shortly after the recent Fine & Country Dragon Relay, which saw Welsh licensees transport ‘Franco the Dragon’ across Wales as part of another fundraising initiative supporting the Foundation.

RAISING FUNDS

Carter said the latest challenge would build on the momentum and enthusiasm created by the relay event.

He says: “The Dragon Relay was an incredible experience and really demonstrated what we can achieve when we come together.

“This walk is a very different kind of challenge, but the goal remains the same, to raise as much as possible for The Fine & Country Foundation and support the vital work it does.”

The Fine & Country Foundation supports charities across the UK and internationally that work to tackle homelessness and poverty, providing grants to organisations delivering frontline support within their communities.

“His commitment to going above and beyond in support of The Foundation’s mission is nothing short of remarkable. Challenges like a 47-mile walk not only demonstrate his personal resilience, but also play a vital role in raising awareness and funds for those in need. We are incredibly grateful for his unwavering support.”

Participants in the Cross Wales Walk hope to encourage donations and raise awareness throughout the journey as Fine & Country continues its wider charitable fundraising efforts across the UK network.
