Eastbrook Village launches amid Milton Keynes growth

Berkeley has opened the first showhomes at Eastbrook Village, a major new neighbourhood planned to deliver more than 4,600 homes in Milton Keynes.

The development is being brought forward with Milton Keynes City Council and Homes England across approximately 950 acres on the city’s eastern edge.
Its first phase comprises 194 apartments and houses, with the wider scheme offering properties ranging from one to five bedrooms.

Plans also include a 160-acre country park, four schools, a health and community hub, shops, sports facilities, allotments and other local amenities.

BUSINESS GROWTH SUPPORTS HOUSING DEMAND

Berkeley is positioning Eastbrook Village as an opportunity for buyers and investors seeking access to one of the South East’s expanding employment centres.

Milton Keynes sits between London, Oxford and Cambridge and has established strengths in technology, engineering, logistics and professional services.

Major employers include Santander, Network Rail and Red Bull Racing, while Milton Keynes Central provides direct rail services to London Euston in around 30 minutes.

Eastbrook Village is also located near Junction 14 of the M1, providing road connections to the Midlands and wider South East.

RESEARCH CORRIDOR ADDS TO APPEAL

Milton Keynes’ location within the Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor could gain further significance from the proposed merger of King’s College London and Cranfield University.

Announced in May, the merger is intended to create a combined research and industry presence across London and the corridor from August 2027.

Its areas of focus are expected to include artificial intelligence, robotics, engineering, energy, net zero and defence.

GREEN SPACE FORMS CENTRAL PART OF PLANS

Eastbrook Village is designed as a walkable community, with homes planned alongside education, healthcare, services and green infrastructure.

The country park will connect residents with walking routes and nearby leisure destinations including Willen Lake. Milton Keynes also has more than 200 miles of Redways for walking and cycling.

Stephen Kirwan, Managing Director at Berkeley, says: “Milton Keynes has become one of the most exciting regional growth stories in the South East. Eastbrook Village has been designed to support that growth by creating a new community with homes, schools, green space, local amenities and infrastructure all planned together from the outset.

“With showhomes launching this July, buyers will soon be able to see first-hand the quality of the homes and the wider lifestyle Eastbrook Village will offer.”
